Hi, I’m Ollie (he/him), I’m running to be your Students’ Union President!
Firstly, I’ve been President of County College and County College Football Club. In these roles, I was elected Chair of the College Football Board. I represent College football on Sports Committee, and formerly County students at Union Assembly; I know how LUSU works.
It’s my job to represent the student voice. To listen, lobby and deliver on promises, for students.
I’ve founded a Tenants Union for students at The University. Student concerns are at the forefront of my mind, if elected I’ll make sure The Union is student-led. LUSU will be ran by students, for students.
If elected I will fulfil these promises:
Campus life will be more affordable.
Rent Freeze.
Affordable transport. The free Sugarbus will return.
Work with local MPs to increase maintenance loans.
The relationship between Colleges and LUSU will be overhauled.
Colleges will be listened to, not discarded.
I will commit to college sport reform.
I will lobby for the reopening of college’s social spaces.
LUSU will be more transparent.
Full Time Officers will publish fortnightly reports.
Student relations will be reset and rebuilt.
Student leaders will be empowered more than ever.
Everyone deserves a Union that serves, listens and delivers for students. I believe I can do that. If you think I can too, VOTE OLLIE4PRES.
